A tree that is extremely cold-resistant and grows very quickly, it is perfect where other growing conditions are not sufficient. Although it is ideal for quick planting with large trees, it is cultivated less and less often due to its fragility or irregular and less attractive crown.
Resistant to diseases. The leaves fall in late autumn, but still green. Propagated by seeds. Due to the fragile wood, it suffers from strong winds.
Sun. Loves moist soil, resistant to cold and drought.
Suitable for growing bonsai. Also easy to shape when planted in the garden.
Soak the seeds in warm water for 12 hours. To keep it always warm, use a household thermos.
Sow in a moist substrate on the surface of the soil and cover only with a very thin layer of sifted soil, or vermiculite. The soil should be constantly moist, but not wet.
You can cover the nursery with a transparent film - it will retain moisture and heat. Be sure to remove it when the seeds begin to germinate.
Germinate at room temperature in a well-ventilated area, away from drafts and direct sunlight.
