The light, hard wood of this tree is used in carpentry, the manufacture of musical instruments and the manufacture of ritual objects.
Maples grow quickly, but do not live a particularly long life, rarely exceeding 150 years of age. This tree has a strong root system, which holds it firmly in the ground and does not interfere with the coexistence of plants growing nearby and at the foot of the tree, so some planting groups of shade-loving or partial shade-loving plants can be formed around the maples.
