Buckthorn hawthorn. Seeds.
A beautiful tree that can be shaped according to needs. Easily adaptable to any garden.
Dry seeds are pre-soaked (before sowing, they can be soaked for 24 hours in a solution of potassium permanganate to reduce the effect of harmful microorganisms). It should be kept for 4-6 months at a temperature of +2...+4 °C.
If the cold stratification is divided into several stages, it is possible to get all the seeds to germinate in the first year. For this purpose, wet seeds are kept at room temperature from the time of collection until November, then for three months in the cool, then again for a month at room temperature, then again in the cool until April, and as soon as the soil thaws, they are sown in the bed.
Most of the seeds will start to germinate only in the second year, so the seeds should not be disturbed for two years.
Sow the seeds 1-2 cm deep. Since the soil settles over time, it is preferable to mulch the top layer so that the seeds do not appear on the surface of the soil. When the seedlings have sprouted the first real leaves, they are planted in the bed at a distance of 10 x 10 cm. Plantings are cared for, fertilized. When the seedlings have grown, they are placed in a permanent place.
