Kiwano is a newcomer to our gardens, but it's worth leaving it for remain.
Nutritionally, the kiwano extract | as is rich in potassium, so it is recommended to mix with yoghurt and add a spoonful of honey, a pinch of vanilla sugar and be used as breakfast food.
You can also simply cut in half and eat or mix with other fruit with a spoonful of flesh, add to the ice cream, bake in the cheesecake, blend in the pudding, bring up mousse.
Taste reminiscent of the intersection of banana, lime and fervour fruit (passion - it also grows in the tropics).
Ready kiwano is juicy and refreshing. The kiwano flesh is similar to a cucumber, only to be bright green.
One-year-old climbing plant.
Kiwano plants have male and female flowers.
For pollination to be successful, at least 2-3 plants must be planted at the same time.
Fruit in cylindrical shape, weighing 200-300 g, length 10-15 cm.
Ripe fruit has a tan or reddish hue.
. Seeds can be soaked in lukewarm water for 12 hours to sprout faster.
Sow in pots of seedlings in April, exhibits in a greenhouse after spring frost. Sprouting ~ 7 days.
