Shield nasturtium. Orange Scarlet. String cress. Annual flower seeds.
Cress is a modest plant that forms a large green mass, blooms profusely and produces seeds.
From sowing in May in a permanent place
Seedlings can also be grown: in April, early May, sow 2–3 seeds in 8–10 cm diameter pots.
Seeds germinate at a temperature of +15 °C for 14–20 days
. String cress is planted in the garden only after the frosts have passed. In a sunny, wind-protected place.
Grows well in medium-heavy loamy soil. In rich, manure-fertilized soil, the plants form many leaves, but few flowers.
Cress is used for growing on verandas or balconies, as well as for covering fences, compost heaps, because the plant is a climber.
On flat soil, cress needs a support along which to twine upwards. Climbing cress can be supported, for example, with a wigwam of reeds, netting or twine. Cress grows best in warm summers.
Blooms from June to September.
Very sensitive to frost.
Seeds in a package of 3 pcs.
